Banda Yee_Loi

Yee Loi are Rose and Matilda from the northern English peninsula of The Wirral. The 2 sisters grew up listening to the likes of the Ramones and others.

At the ages of 10 and 8, they started playing Ramones songs loudly in their family barn and posting videos on YouTube. This led to them meeting and becoming friends with the existing Ramones family, they were encouraged to take their music further. With complete disregard to the current popular music trends of their peer group, they forged ahead with their punk rock and classic rock influences.

Inspired by punk's DIY attitude, they started composing their own songs and self releasing their music. At the age of 15 and 13 they signed a record deal with Modern Sky Records UK.

"Dad’s Money” is a song that answers the so called “Punk Police”. Those comments that we had from people when they first saw and heard us playing punk rock songs. They judged us on our age, gender, race and background. This song proves that us teenage girls can rock just as much as anybody.

“Strength to Endure” is a Ramones song that is quite undervalued in our opinion, so we decided to give it some love and bring this to people’s attention with our Yee Loi sound.
